Rhine Valley Line route
The Rauma Line scenic train route takes you through picturesque mountains, over imposing bridges and past the tallest rock-face in Europe, the Trollveggen, which towers 1,000 m (3.281 feet) above the track.
The Rauma Line is fully included in your Eurail Pass.
The West Rhine railway pulls out of charming Mainz and glides into the charm and charisma of the wine producing region. It meanders along the west bank of the River Rhine, showcasing the calm water and vineyard-laden slopes of the valleys it passes through. Just a few tunnels interrupt the view until you reach Koblenz, where the Moselle River meets the Rhine.

If your Eurail Pass is valid for Germany then you can also use it on the Rhine Valley lines.
Highlights
Highlights are the fortress of Ehrenbreitstein in Koblenz, the castles of Marksburg, Stahleck, Katz and Maus or the Pfalz castle on an island in the river bed. There are many other places worth a visit too. Cities like Bacharach, St. Goar or Rüdesheim are completing the unique picture of this beautiful landscape.
